10 gallons of resin -layout

Almost done .....my 4th boat , steel flex is curing right now *all glass ... no wood , rot resistant - I can store or outside and never worry

I made a mold out of my 3rd boat by coating it in aluminum foil and glassing up the two halves to my extruded PVC frame -the camo is resin tint i may paint it , we will see

Man to do hate resin fumes , I hate the stuff - thanks for looking

Re: 10 gallons of resin -layout

Here is #3 layout , I've used this one(hard) for 3 seasons - its a luan ply over cedar frame - with glass over top

I don't know if anyone else has ever done the aluminum foil trick - but I thought up the idea and it worked , you could make a copy of literally any watercraft so long as you brace it up and use enough resin and cloth

I'm going to try and make a styr-rouge/ thrre..i coined a term ....its gonna be piroroge with a home depot foam frame - then when its done rip out the foam I don't need for flotation and pressure wash the foil off the copy - I may make s carstens puddler type boat - I think I can make one for $250-300 in materials

I've made surfboards before so this method is simple - electric planer- surefoam- in business...-- Shannon

Wow, good build! How much does that "water puppy" weigh? Looks like it could be paddled or poled around easily. I've shied away from these, being 6'4" and I want my creature comforts. When I had my 14' jon I would lay out and hide it among the lily hyacinths but it was a strain shooting from that position. I might put a "deflector" bar to keep lizards from sunning themselves on it.

Boat looks good. It really blends into the marsh in the second pic.

The #3 wood boat weighs 130# fiberglass repairs over the years have weighted it down

#4 weighs I think 95 pounds it needs to get to about 120 to be just right

I small boat like a momarsh/ kara hummer or 4 rivers would help a guy your size hide in low grass only
