Are those dreams of ducks dropping into your spread starting to interrupt your peaceful sleep? Are you catching up on a few overdue upgrades to your duck boat or motor? Maybe chasing trout, reds, snook or bass has occupied your free time these days. The Officers, Regional Directors and many members of UNITED WATERFOWLERS-FL, INC. are hard at work, using their free time, to attend meetings critical to your future duck hunting opportunities and to the health of our marshes for decades to come. Challenges in coordinating STA construction schedules and trying to maintain a high level of hunter access will find UW-F right in the middle of the discussions. UW-F has taken the lead in a hard fought battle to help reduce nutrient runoff from urban landscapes into our wetlands. Volunteers are working hand in hand with the staff at MINWR to help better manage the marshes at the refuge. Local members are hard at work around the State planning for better access and better habitat management for the duck marsh in your back yard.

TODAY we need YOUR help . With the price of fuel the current UW-F travel expenses have skyrocketed over past levels. We don't want the pain at the pump to keep your hard working volunteers at home on the sideline rather than at the meetings, “in the game”!

Donations are $5.00 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20.00. As usual, a new member who joins during the raffle period receives one complimentary ticket. The drawing will be at the BPS-DANIA FALL CLASSIC in August 2008. You do not have to be present to win.
