SFWMD WRAC Meeting

At WRAC where projections for WCAS, STAs, Lake O and the Kissimmee system are being presented by staff and how water will be managed the rest of the year. The El Niņo effect has to be considered. Currently the entire system looks good for ducks and duck hunting. Best in several years overall. A wetter dry season is expected. This should allow good hydration from Toho to the WCAs. Less water is being sent from Lake to the STAs. That is good news. STA habitat was impacted last season and were too high for the recent Early Season.

On another matter a good burn was conducted on Lake O.

Things are looking good!
