I have always called these Cowbirds. If I am wrong could someone please correct me?

Boy,I got lucky here.I heard a bunch of screaming behind me and to my left, saw what was going to happen and threw the camera up.

Right place at the right time.

I took a picture of mom flying away but It was all blurry, which kinda ticked me off cuz it would have been the perfect ending to this series.

DD:

The bill is too long for a Cowbird, the tail is too long and and the bird looks too big for a Cowbird.. I believe that it is a female Boat-tailed Grackle..

I was going to say a grackle myself too. The one that I know of cow birds were the ones that fly behind my bushhog when I am cutting my pasture. :toothy10:

I do believe that most cowbirds are migratory. As in the brown head cowbird that destroys crops in the midwest and can reak havoc on dove fields here.
