SFWMD states "water managers have started another round of releases from Lake Okeechobee, which remains cloudy after last year's hurricanes, threatening aquatic plants and the fish that rely on them for habitat. Water managers also aim to have the lake close to 14 feet above sea level by June 1, the start of the hurricane season. On Tuesday, the lake was 14.83 feet above sea level."
