Thanks to all who turned out to this meeting....Alex, Jeff, David and Byron from the ECC. UW-F/DELTA members out numbered all others!

The presentation on future work stretching into 2008 included that magic word "hunting". We continue to have the support of the staff responsible for recreation on the STAs, particularly Jerry Krenz.

The only alarming note was the statement by the STA project managers that "hydrilla is not good" and an alternative vegetation system is being tested. We do not know the names of the plants at this time, but we can hope the ducks like to eat them! Spraying to reduce hydrilla is already in the plans before next season.

Meetings will continue and we will keep all advised.

Newton I firmly believe that they sprayed 1W last year during the season. The way the hydrilla died off and the cloudy film that was left in the water is a byproduct of spraying not changes in water depth. Tracy Robb admitted yesterday that they had sprayed hydrilla before, whether they admit that it was done on the STA's and how it affects the mission of the STA's is another story. It is definitely a matter of concern if they spray during the season.
