Please note the following correction in the UW-F position statement on hydrilla spraying found on page 8 and 9 of the March 15, 2005 Newsletter (http://www.unitedwaterfowlersfl.org/newsletter/2005/march/UWFNewsletterV4I1.pdf). We quote the paper titled PLANT MANAGEMENT IN FLORIDA WATERS - DUCK HUNTING in our statement. That paper can be found on the web at http://plants.ifas.ufl.edu/guide/duckhunt.html The paper lists Diane Eggeman, FWC as a reviewer. Ms. Eggeman has informed UW-F that she did not review the article and, in fact, "does not necessarily agree with at least several of the statements in it."
Ms. Eggeman has contacted the paper's website host and requested that her name be removed as a reviewer. She has also offered to review the paper if asked to do so.
