Dave

I tried to email you about this Silver Pines. WMA, public hunting , private land, hunt club. You got my interest up we have four puppies Vizsla's and we are always interested in any place to put them on birds. We really prefer wild coveys but they are very hard to find in Florida. We joined a Treasure Coast Hunt club in Stuart but only for the dog training fields. We plant pen raised bird for the puppies they turn one year between March 1st and March 21 . The private land I was referring to that I hunt is in Swannee County probably four hours further north than Arcadia. I do not expect you to give up your honey hole if they are wild coveys that you are hunting but really loooking to train the young dogs on wild birds.

Thanks

Silver Pines is a private operation (18,000 acres) but they are some real nice folks. They are about 2 miles north of 70 on 17 (north side of Arcadia). It's a combination of wild and released birds and they have dogs but I'm sure you can convince them to let you bring yours as well. We ran through about 3 pairs of dogs in 3.5 hours. The operators name is Robert Scarborough (863) 465-7767
(863) 443-3085 - mobile, Tica Scarborough, (863) 465-7767, (863) 443-0037. FYI they also have turkey, duck, deer and hog hunting. Here's the link to thier website. (http://www.silverpinespreserve.com/index.html)
