What areas are closed to hunting that should be open to hunting?

Ockalwaha farms. Mathers, I kind of feel like you are a professional cyber scouter for the Ocala area. :D
But I love your style if you are trying to open up areas around here that are closed and take less heat off of the places that are.

I try to cover most of central Florida. Just curious to see what other public/state own areas are closed to hunting that could/should be open to the public as our tax dollars are paying for those lands.
Also for those pondering membership, they should be able to read generalities of what UW is working on.
Wonder if I could get paid for doing that? I'll have to add it to my resume. :D

The St. John's Water Management District (SJWMD) has a book out called "Recreation Guide to District Lands". It lists lands that we can, and can't hunt. It is available at SJWMD offices and Forestry Ranger offices. But they don't have it out on display (wonder why?), you have to go in and ask for it.
The contact info for SJWMD is phone (386) 329-4500 or on line

Besides being a good reference book for our activists, it is a good book for us outdoorsmen.
