Sorry to bother you but we have hunted Loxahatchee most this season the lake a few times. Thinking of going to the lake for closing weekend. We have hunted Belle Glades years ago. I read one of your replys and seems that you must be seeing some birds out of Belle Glades. Not expecting to you to gets a gps location but instead of going to monkey box or moonshine bay. Could you just give me general direction you might suggest we hunt and or scout. We have launched from Slim's and hunted both towards Pahokee and South Bay.
Thanks if you do not mind sharing this information. Any ringer we have shot mostly teal and fl mallards. I see a lot of ringers but they are all in ponds at turnpike and Atlatic Blvd. Must be sixty birds and the drakes are really looking good. Saw another group at 95 and Hillsborough last Sunday. Don't think those would be good area to try and shoot a few ducks.
Our hunts have been so so at Lox. but without a doubt there are more birds on Sunday. We feel like they are coming from STA 1 it is only about 12 miles due south of sta 1 where we are hunting. The gators are thick and we have only taken the dogs on one trip and that was a mistake. Funny how hunting even on a good day isn't as fun without seeing your dog retrieve the birds.
Hope you have good final weekend. rhcato@mcihispeed.net
We are planning to scout it out ourself Frdiay, any luck on afternoon hunts there??
Thanks
