Well, In contrast to most years the hunting is slowing down at TM Goodwin. Saturday was tough with fog messing up most hunters with ducks appearing and disappearing before a shot could be made. Joey and I were feeling that we may have made a bad choice of set ups but when we checked out much later than we normally do..with only 4 teal for me and 2 for joey we were shocked at how slim the pickings were. The hot spot was broadmoore but with only a couple guys limiting out of a full house of shooters. Several good hunters that had top spots were only marginally successfull with a couple teal and maybe a Mottled.
This past tuesday I had fellow member UF Tarpon with me at Broadmoore and we split the impound. I was able to eak out a limit of teal with better than average shooting and Chris had a tough time only getting a couple.
This was in what was a previously good spot.
I have a permit for tuesday and with only two hunts left I hope that it spikes up a little.....
If I lived south...I would do a STA 5 shoot for a better shot at a limit... :)

Joe, don't complain. I couldn't get a permit for yesterday at Goodwin - even with four telephones dialing in! While you were out at the marsh, I was going through a "honey-do" list I've been putting off all season. Got a permit for Tuesday and couldn't get into Broodmoor, but selected 15W on Goodwin. I know I'll have to enlist the help of a friend with a boat AND motor, my pirogue just won't make it!
