Most of the 20 rooms blocked out have been rented......some for Friday as well as Saturday nite.

All members and guests are invited to the meeting as usual.

The meeting will begin at 12 noon.

The resturant at the hotel is not open for lunch so we will probably order pizza delivered ( I will be around at least an hour before the meeting please check with me on a "head count" for the pizza so we can order in advance of the meeting )or what ever the group wants. or bring your own.

The meeting itself will be held outdoors if weather permits, at the pool area, or an adjacent breeze way which have tables and chairs, also a pavilion at the park next door could be used if the weather is bad.

Look forward to seeing you there.
Newton

These meetings last a few hours at most. The official part probably less than an hour....

Newton,

Won't be able to make it...first I've heard of it...guess I need to spend more time over on this forum.

Next year, why don't y'all do it after duck season is over with?

There are board meetings in early summer and pre season in the fall, this meeting is traditional and has been a favorite gathering since the beginnings of UW-F....yes some of us give up a day in our local favorite marsh....but if you want to hunt, there are opportunities in the Titusville area, and the local guys will at least put you on the water in the general direction....but more important is the chance to meet a larger group of members and to start the new year off with participation in the planning of events, nominations of Board Members etc. In fact it is the meeting that draws the largest number of members, some who drive up to five hours....We do schedule the other meetings South and NOrth to accomidate members in those areas....FL is a large state, I only wish we had enough members inthe Panhandle for a meeting....now that would be tough!!!! on some down here. Hope to see as many as can make the journey! Newton

I sure would love to get up there with all of you, but with only sixty days to work this side of my business I'm booked Friday and Sunday. Jeff Allen is going to catch up with me Friday night and we'll plan some fullishness for Saturday.........fun with the dogs and a few birds that I have "penned up" for this weekend. If you didn't see his article in Monday's Palm Beach Post 1-2-05 grab it on line at chris_hain@pbpost.com re: "Everglades cleanup sites are boon for duck hunters ...'Lake Okeechobee and Everglades Holiday Park' ".I hope everyone had a safe and Blessed Holiday. and Keep those guns swinging after you pull the triggers in 2005, You'll be surprized at what might DROP by. I'll keep you all posted with my work on the Big "O" when the season winds down.
Be safe and have a blast! cgc :icon_salu
