Well, there are many reasons..but if you were a member and went to the "memberrs only" side...You could pick up an opening weekend STA hunt with a member BOTH days at the STA's... Worth $25??? If you don't know....then this post is pointless.

...........or you could read about some of the lakes that we care about and let our input be known when concerning waterfowl. Doing so may tell someone about the duck hunting available there. Hey, the price of gas is coming down, drive and scout, drive some more, maybe it won't go back up, maybe.

Heck the drama alone in the off season is worth $25.

,,,,or you could meet someone from your area that happens to be an expert in dog handling and helps turn your miserable hound into a retrieving guided missile.
The other side offers a calm, cultured bipartisan ambient, very suitable for ducking lore.

The 8 Street Gang's Marsh recipes are enough to make it worthwhile!

Well, all these are good...Nosoys cut and paste photoshopped pictures are worth TWICE the price of admission!

Maybe we can add an 8th street gang breakfast....PRICELESS!

Don't forget Hitch's pics. You won't be seeing them on AWF much anymore.

Your right about Hitch's photos...some are unbelievable!

If you'd post your gumbo recipe again this season... that alone would be worth it!

How about the members only "Camo Clad" bunch of beauties? That duck hunting attire ( think Matatboy and Pepi) is found nowhere else for such a little coinage.

I applaud the yeoman-like work ethic politically- you'all get the message to the government reps and stir the pot and are tireless agitators for the common good. The expressed love for this grand sport/tradition says it all. Now after those laudatory remarks don't start to hover, keep your feet in the marsh, er- the duck boat, and keep both eyes open and let them come in close.:occasion14

Or the Quota permit for Hungryland that Jeff posted up and I used to get an 88lb Hog.

That hunt was an experience of a lifetime. Priceless.

This is no joke. I never duck hunted but always wanted to learn. I am a seasoned fisherman but never duck hunted. I joined, traded a few fishing trips and within a years time I was dialed in on the Glades, STA's etc.

It truly was the best $25 bucks I ever spent. All those that are awaiting the lighted bulb or the slap in the face this is it. If you are serious about waterfowling in Florida there is no other choice.

Skunk Apes, Mud Queens and a guy who spends more time posting up pictures of sexy women than he does hunting. How can you pass up that entertainment.

Seriously, 4 open seats were just offered up on a professionally guided hunt (a $600 value) for the price of some fuel.

Do it: http://www.unitedwaterfowlersfl.org/membership.htm

New friends, huntin' buddies, up to date info and a chance to make a difference for Florida duckin'. Try to find all that for $25 anywhere else.

OK...One more reason....moved from my post on the members only side.

One really fun thing was that since we had two permits...upon arrival I walked up the "lotto line" and the first UW sticker I saw..I knocked on the window and introduced myself...asked who they were.It was a father and son... said " Bobby Dolens...and my son..Bobby Dolens" I said "great..two bobbys and two joes"
He said he was from Jacksonville and was there to try and hunt with his son who was from Boca?..anyway, I said..."You're in with us"
They were very appreciative...just another reason why you should join and put that sticker on your vehicle...you never know when somebody is going to make it worth your while!
