Thanks again to the web site managers, Pete, David and Steve, who have upgraded the site and attracted even more users....note the site now ranks 30 th for all (world?) sites on birds and waterfowl. Very good for a one state site!!! (american waterfowlers.com ranks 9th) As everyone knows, this site is more serious than most and more on topic, but we welcome all to comment and advise UW-F on how we can make duck hunting better for you here in Florida. You who post and reply make the site interesting and generate the almost 200,000 hits a month from those looking to see "whats happening" in Florida waterfowling.

...almost 200,000 hits a month from ...
We're already at 258,625 for December :D
One note for new users. If you are a UW-F member and do not see a private members only forum, please contact me. The new software needs a little tweeking and some new members are not getting registered correctly.

I dont have a private forum, but do not know whether I am registered or eligible. What do I need to do if I am not eligible (pd upor whatever)?

Blindhog,
The private area is a benefit for UW-F members. I've done a quick search and I do not find any member in our database with the e-mail address that you used to register at the site. If you are a UW-F member, please e-mail me your name and address and I'll correct the database. If you are not a UW-F member, you can join online by clicking the "membership" tab off the side bar menu. After your account is activated, you will have access to all of the forums.
Thanks for visiting.

Looking at my first post on this thread, right above your reply -- it clearly says 'BlindHog: member'.
Also I see myself listed on the 'Members List' plain as day when I click on that. Now, I do see that some people are reflected to merely be Junior Members or Authorized Users, but I presume that being a 'Member' should be better than either of those, right? What gives?

Following your instructions, I attempted to email you by looking up address on Members List, but when I click on 'send me an email' it says you have not elected to receive emails and to contact Administrator.

Solved part of my problem when I went looking for the sidebar menu to check out 'becoming a member'. ---
Discovered I had my UWF link set directly to go to the Forum and not the intro/homepage. Now I see that there is a $25 charge to be a member. I had not been to that homepage since the day I started reading and posting couple yrs ago.
So apparently when you are saying I am 'not a member' you are meaning that I am not a PAYING member.

OK, now I see that NCook tried to give me DLithgow's email address but I missed it.
I think I am all set and cleared up now if I can get the membership form filled out. One of those days.

BlindHog,
I got your online membership application. Thanks for joining UW-F! Log off the site then log back on and you should have access to all the forums.
Let me know if it gives you any trouble.
