Is holiday park going to be open for ducks? I know the water is pretty high. Will this effect the deer where we are hunting on the L-67? Any info will be appreciated!

Thanks

See the string running near by on the Update on WCA 2 and WCA 3...that is Holiday Park info.

Right now it is iffy.....need to get at least another foot out of the WCA 3.

At the SFWMD WRAC meeting Thursday I called for the re-opening of the S 12s....I know that will not happen as it will take a long bureaucratic time...but the representative of the CORPS had heard from the blitz of our emails and phone calls on the need to move water out of the WCAs and he was called on by the Chair and he listed several things they had done to increase the flow.....opening some other canals and moving water east into other storage. We have almost total support for our position by the WRAC members.

Chuck Collins sits on the WRAC and he agreed there was every reason to believe access would be opened for the duck hunting.....baring another storm.

Not just yet AJ. I think something is coming out within the next couple of days, so stay tuned. You MIGHT be able to scout this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed.

FWC posted a memo today about the opening of the Everglades, Rotenbuger, and the hollylands for Duck Hunting and frog gigging.
