Today a gentleman shot a mottled duck that was fitted with a telemetry unit. The bird was at least 7 years old since it was fitted as an adult in fellsmere six years ago and was recovered at TM goodwin...A real homebody! The unit only transmits a year but It's nice to know it never bothered that bird any. :)
Another gentleman also shot a banded Mottled on Goodwin today.

Pretty cool. It's pretty easy to show that those birds do not migrate.... ;)
I shot a banded BWT at MI weekend before last - waiting on the cert. This is only my second band in 31 years of duck hunting, and both of those in the past 3 years. :eek:

it is pretty amazing that those birds keep making it past you guys ive never even been hunting with someone when they sot a banded bird let us know where it came from d duck
