I have a nice Beretta 301 that is perfect for my son to use. The only drawback is the shiny blueing on the barrel.

Is there a paint that I can use that will not cause accelarated corrosion and that will strip off easily when I no longer want to use the gun for waterfowling? Preferably a matte black paint.

Thanks.

You can buy a gun sock that fits over it if you like. Some people I know use them

The snake skin covers works well. They can be removed with no residual problems.

me, my daddy, and my granddaddy all used guns that were shiny blued. Keep still and blind up. I personally wouldn't paint over it.

Cabelas, basspro and probably your local outdoor shop carries a camo wrap that works great but you will need 2 rolls. It want leave any residue and you can reuse it so that you can clean your guns in between shootings.

I agree with backcast and would leave it as is. In hunting over the last 17 years I've found that movement is the number one problem with flaring ducks from your blind. Also, wearing camo gloves and a face mask are extremely important as any movement is only magnified by the exposed skin. Keep the gun down, in the shadows if possible, cover your face, stay still, and you should be fine. Plus, you won't have to ruin the finish on the gun and it will probably last longer.

Ditto, a nice blued gun is too pretty to destroy.
