UW-F discovered a clerical error in the 2008/09 rules for the Jones/Hungryland WMA that would have prevented a full Migratory Bird Season (as passed by the FWC Commissioners)
The FWC staff has gone to great lengths (very much appreciated) at our request to put through an Executive Order correcting the error.
The Executive Order will be in effect prior to the opening of Dove Season October 4.
Under "MIGRATORY BIRD SEASONS" in the Brochure, the correct statement will be: "....may be hunted during statewide seasons as established by the Commission for these species."
