I doubt it is anyone that posts on this site but someone is leaving trash behind at the parking area. SFWMD staff have taken photos and sent them to the recreation coordinator under the heading "BIRD HUNTING TRASH"
The pics include toilet paper and what usually goes along with that.   We ALL need to talk to every hunter we see out there and tell them that either take your trash with you or take a good look at the marsh because this is likely the last time you will see it.
An announcement will be made shortly about a "Cleanup Day" I hope we get a good turnout.

I hope that in February and March when all the sissy bird watchers are out, someone will be taking pictures of NON-BIRD HUNTERS TRASH.
As for now, do your part when you use the area and pick up after the slobs leaving their trash behind.
As for the "biologist", I think a complaint should be made against her as she obviously has an agenda against hunters. If she is going to work for the FFWCC, then she has to support it's mission, which includes serving hunters.

i went out with some of those sissy birdwatchers and was amazed that they excepted myself and my sons with no problem and let us use their scopes and even listened intently as we talked about our hunting experiences towards the end of the morning the sfwdm rep susan elliot had them liking us just like on of their own after we showed them we were interested in preserving the habitat and knowing what it waswe where shooting before we shot it. susan also pointed out to all that some of the hunters were actually the besty conservationist she knew.

My son and I hunted the first afternoon and took home more trash then we came with. Mainly spent shells but we did pick up some other trash also. I think that most of us do more then our share but not enough for people that don't want us in the area's. Also a few bad apples spoil the bunch. I know that everyone I have talked to on this site do mhat it takes to help everyone. Keep up the GOOD work.
