I decided it was time to step it up a notch and put the mossy 835 in the safe until spring turkey. I couldn't decide between a nice autoloader like the xtrema or a mid level O/U. I kinda like the idea of having two chokes available. I really needed to stay below a grand. I stopped by Grey Goose in PSL and Whoa... He had a Browning Citori, 12ga, 28" Invector plus w/ 4 tubes, "used" but "never fired" (not purchased wholesale) The price... $800.00. SWEET, that decided the case for me. The only drawback is that this is a beautiful gun. I'm going to cry the first time it slides down the side of the boat and puts a gouge in the stock. I can hardly wait for Phase II. Better hit the range and pop a few rounds through her. Anyone in for some 5 stand?

Have fun w/ your double.

Beautiful gun!! The wood and blue on brownings is very durable... unless the dog uses your gun case for a urinal. That'll take its toll on the blue job! Happened to my deer rifle.
Nice gun:) Good luck with it!

Congrats David!
I remember when I purchased my Beretta 686 ... I agree they are beautiful guns. I finally got past the "beautiful" stage ... I bought the gun to use hunting ... and dang it - I'm gonna use it .... everywhere. (even the salt marshes!! ... bring lots of WD-40!!!)

I can't bring myself to take my Browning Special Sporting Clays O/U in the boat it sticks only to the range. I'm all ready to shoot some clays just need to know a time and place. The 835 i stick in the boat works fine and is a great part time oar or push pole lol

Jason - SCGAA 5-stand is open to the public on the first Sunday of the month and for members and guests on the third Sunday. There are also some folks that shoot out there on Wednesday afternoons. If you aren't familiar with it, they are located near Geneva - out towards the dump.

David,
Joey and I ripped thru one round at Indian river Co. range yesterday. They are still screwed up from the 'canes so we could shoot 5 stand any day 9-5 except mon/tues(closed) maybe a scout/shoot day....:)

Sounds good Joe, did you say you have to work on Sunday?
If so, I'll try and sneek one day in next week.
I'll be at BPS on Saturday. I need to pickup one more choke, the mod.-steel, IC-lead. Need anything up that way?

I used to shoot trap @Chiliotia everythursday nights for along time
and shoot alot of sporting clays @ TM til they opened the new club house. (had some problems after that)was once a member there also Sundays are usually bad for me . I heared there is a sporting clays course near titusville(never shot at) and one down in lakeland I shot at once.
I know where the gun range is @ by the dump never shot there i dont have time to put 8 hrs in cleaning up the place a yr plus pay for a membership there also , so i have stayed away from it
