The water is still receeding & the interior potholes look fantastic!!!
We took another airboat ride & holes that have been choked up with pigweed are now open.
No food in them but the ducks seem to be using them as resting areas.
The teal & widgeon are sitting in (6) six inches of water along the private property edges feeding on the seed heads.
The only problem is there is no place to blind up.
The hurricanes stripped the cover & all that remains is grass heads.
Looks like opening weekend will be spent out of the boats sitting in the mud on our butts.
A buddy of mine was out frogging the other night & ran up on (5) five flocks of teal so tired from migrating that he was able to pick several of them right up out of the water & into the boat.
He was kind enough to place "Coastal Sportsmen" duck bands on (3) three BWT.
Whoever shoots one gets a free duck hunt for (2) from The Coastal Sportsmen (does not include travel, motel, or food).
