I would like some opinions on the most effective camo pattern for waders used in Florida. What's your favorite?

Max-4 works well in most places. If you like stocking foot waders Bass Pro Shops has a few reversable neopreme models that give you a choice of grass or brush patterns.

MO Shadowgrass is still my favorite - the old pattern of course, not the new one.

Camo on waders?? Half is under your jacket and the other is under water...anything but blaze orange will be fine. I have shadowgrass but my son has plain ol' brown...by the time the ducks can see our camo..they're dead! ;)

That's true Keith...... My biggest problem is getting waders big enough in the inseam....don't want "big Jim and the twins" all cramped up...LOL!!!:D

Check out this site for waders at VERY LOW PRICES some as low as $29.95 for NEW neoprene waders. Check for size availability often. Lots of stuff for size7-8. Other sizes too but not common. Apparel and accessories available very cheap as well.

that hodgman outlet is a really good place. i wanted some waist high waders for a certain spot i hunt sometimes since the full waders get so hot sometimes. last year, i found a pair of the heavy duty neoprene boot foots (in a size 13 no less!) for $39.

I like the MO Shadow Grass, old style. But I order whatever marsh camo is on sale. As Joe says, by the time they see the camo, it's too late for them.

I have used dark brown, the old WWII camo pattern and shadowgrass.

MO Shadowgrass is my choise. But what evers on sale works to.
I have the old wwII brown camo columbia quad jacket, +10 years old and it works great. We shoot from a blind most of the time so it breaks up the pattern even more.
I have some friends that HATE max 4D stuff. any thoughts on that?

What's wrong with the new shadowgrass pattern? To me, it just looks like they added more green which is good. It ain't like we are hunting out of Iowa cornfields down here........Even the glades have some green.
I like the old advantage timber too. Mossy Oak breakup is nasty looking to me, a beacon instead of concealment. Ever wonder why stuff in that camo is always on sale?:D
