Please note the following announcements by FWC and SFWMD regarding scouting dates at the STA's
The FWC is planning to provide a couple of scouting trips for waterfowl hunters within the next few weeks in STA1W and STA5. Please see the email from BJ below for details. Additionally, Loxahatchee NWR is providing free guided bird watching tours of STA1W, which may be useful to waterfowl hunters too. To make a reservation for a tour, call the Lox NWR main desk at (561) 732-3684. If you could get the word out, I would appreciate it.

I just talked to Mike Anderson regarding the scouting dates for waterfowl hunters in STA1W and STA5. He has given me the following:
November 13 – Meet at the STA5 gate at Bloomberg Road at 08:00 hrs and same day meet at STA1W at 13:00 hrs. FWC staff will be there to receive the hunters at both places.
December 4th -- same information as above.
If we get any calls regarding scouting please ask them to call FWC/Sunrise Office at 954-746-1789 and Mike’s office will give the details.
