well say i hunt a spot...but somebody else usally hunts it...do people have like desegnated spot where they dont want people hunting there...im new here.

The "permanent" duck blind controversy in NW FL is directly related to the attemp by some to "claim" as their own spots on public lakes. This is not an unusual situation on duck marshes in a lot of locations in any flyway. Sometimes it is not too much of a problem as hunting spots are numerous, but where crowding begins to occur the conflicts can lead to the authorities stepping in.

This has happened on public land at famous duck spots such as Reelfoot and the Land Between the Lakes and all up and down the East Coast.

What we do not want is any system that "assigns" spots to hunters. This usually has a "lottery" for the spots. Invariably, the lottery has turned into a cash bonaza for the "winners" as the spots are purchased by those who have the wealth to buy them and the "little" people are out.....

Keep all public land "first come first served". No further regulations are required.
