The next Southern Region SJRMD RAC meeting will be at the PALM BAY COMMUNITY CENTER, 1502 Port Malabar Blvd.NE, Room B, Oct. 21 at 6pm.
The annexation of the marshes west of Palm Bay into the city remains a topic.
UW-F has received a letter from the district following our letter to Govenor Bush expressing opposition to the current proposal. The district seems to be trying to improve the wording to meet some of the public's objections. We repeat that we believe all are working on the issue in good faith and UW-F wants a consensus of all parties that protects the future of hunting with no more regulations and restictions than are current.
The turnout and positive input of all organizations as at past meetings needs to continue.
