FYI

“Before, there was no public access to STA 3/4, which has a footprint bigger than the island of Manhattan,” said Jesus Rodriguez, spokesperson for the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). “But with the boat ramp finished, STA 3/4 is open for fishing and seasonal duck hunting. There is water there now, but I don’t know how it will look in May at the height of the dry season.”

Me too.... Got stranded at Browns Farm once and walked out to "Deem City". There was NO ONE around to help... Man, how I miss that feeling of independence and solitude! What a great place it USED to be!

Do not be confused by the statement....STA 3/4 proper is not open for fishing.

There is a great new facility just west of STA 3/4 that has a new boat ramp that opens up tens of miles of canals and a couple of large old rock pits for fishing. Some of the canals border STA 3/4. Dawn to dusk open....
