A little more background info......

This was expected. As the article said..last year FL DEP came out against the marina. At one time...under one plan...the developers actually wanted to dredge a one or two mile deeper water channel thru the sea grass bed. Seems that the water depth isn't deep enough for the yachts to get to the proposed marina. This area is one of the largest sea grass areas left in Florida. Taylor county has lately been on the front lines of the development battle in FL. Last year a potential coal fired power plant was also defeated.

Anyway...this is great news for the big bend.
