ok guys i just thought that y'all might like to know that i have been promoted to PV2 i'm no longer PVT!!! well today was good i went to river walk with some friends from Fort Hood. walked around river walk a little and had dinner at the Texas Republic...i was REALLY good! well i need to go to sleep. i'm going to go to river walk or some other part of down town again tomorrow....i'll be good don't worry lol i'm finally free and get to leave post!!!!

congrats on the promotion does the army tack it on like the navy did. everybody of higher rank gets to slug you on the arm to help it stay there.

lol thanks guys!!! no its an automatic promotion. to become a SGT or E-5 i have to go before a promotion board. i have a book called Winning the Board...so i kno i'll get that promotion. my DS at basic told me about the book and said that it really does work on getting promotions and Soldier of Month. he had a soldier when he was stationed in hawaii that has won soldier of the year for the Army several times and he knew that book by heart. if u win soldier of the year the army will give u a set of dress blues. i'm going to try and go for soldier of the year when i get to my duty station.

by the way just to let everyone kno i passed my final!!!! now i just have my NREMT and then we hit the whiskey side!! can't wait to get there!

Sorry there troop, the army is no where near better than the Corps. The only reason we have the army is because everyone cant hack being a Marine, so they had to have something for the slackers, ya there are a few good units in the army but not many. SEMPER FI :booty::ORGR:

Ha, you know how many times Marines had to go back in to towns in Iraq once the MARINES cleared them out and handed them over to the army.... Many times! Door mats? Thats the best you can come up with? hahahahahahaha
Ya, your right about you Army boy's being bullet catcher's, see if yall where Marines, you would know how to fight and not be a "bullet catcher" as you put it! Carry on troop:icon_geek
