There is a thread running on the Florida Sportsman "Freshwater and Hunting" forum on this topic.
The waterfowling portion of these "Quota Program" meetings basically left things as they are, with changes worked out on a local basis (ie the STAs and TMG). UW-F is also continuing our objective to have waterfowling on WMAs during the entire duck season, including Quota Hunts were there is no conflict.
However, the deer and turkey programs, as expected, will be subject to changes to meet the objectives of the committee.
Many of our members (including the two UW-F members on the 9 person committee) hunt deer and turkey on the WMAs and use the current quota system....this thread offers another opportunity to have input that will be viewed by other committee members.
