Thanks to the crew who helped with the booth, attended the Directors Meeting and just visited. We had a good time as always when an event brings us together. The storm damage, including loss of roofs, prevented a couple of the locals who normally are there working from participating and two medical emergencies could not be avoided. Despite these problems we had a successful show with 7 new members and good raffle sales. NOW WE NEED HELP NEXT WEEKEND AS WE HAVE A TABLE IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER HUNTING ACTIVITIES INCLUDING THE DUCK CALLING CONTEST.

I will be there to open and close the show each day. Newton

Newton I am glad all went well. Bad timing with the storm I am sure that it affected the turnout. I will be contacting you when I get more info on the South Florida Outdoor Expo. I already spoke to Manny Sanchez and he said he would work something out for UW to be represented there in some capacity. I will handle the staffing along with the help of the 8SG!

Newton,

My wife is going to have some minor (very minor) surgery on Friday ... I might be able to make if Friday evening.

I know that I can be there on Sunday. :D

We are really planning on Sat. and Sun. only....Fri. is too slow for the effort it takes. I have only discussed Sat. and Sun. with Greg. I plan to shut down at 3:00 on Sunday ( at least I have to leave and take the gun) as I have another (real work) show at a nearby hotel starting at 4 pm. Look forward to all who can come and help out. Newton

Alex.....the opportunity sounds great....we cannot have too many members and supporters in the south to help with the battle to maintain and improve access in the glades and lake O.

Alex,

I should be available to help with staffing at the South Florida Outdoor Expo if you need me.

Please let me know.

This show is going to be big. It will have RV's, motorcycles, boats,ATV's, and even Monster truck rides. A lot of different types of people will be there. Although it is still far away, the end of January is a great time of the year for advertising because hunting season and all it's successes and failures are still fresh in everybody's mind. I will iron out all the details with the promoters and I will report as the time draws closer!
