SFWMD 20 Mile Bend Boat Ramp Dedication

UW-F has been invited to be one of a small group of conservation and outdoor organizations to display at the GRAND OPENING CEREMONIES for the new boat ramp near STA 1W. The gathering will include many representatives of the Everglades Restoration agencies and government. The ceremonies will be at 9 am on Sept. 16. Invited speakers and guests will be shuttled to the presentation area from the 20 Mile Bend Boat Ramp Rd. There will be more information available before the event, and UW-F appreciates this invitation as a part of our work with the restoration agencies to insure better public access to public lands and waters.

Alex....I'm not yet sure how many people they are allowing to be shuttled...will have more info in the mail soon....

This invitation is directly due to the turnouts we get at the meetings and the positive proposals when our guys get up to speak....ie the Eight Street Hunt Club and others...winning the respect of the district's staff.
