The Orlando BPS show set up is Friday August 20 from 1 to 9 pm. The booth can also be manned during those hours.

We need a volunteer to set up the booth on Friday.

We need volunteers to man the booth from about 10 am to 8 or 9pm Sat. Aug. 21

We need volunteers to man the booth from about 10am to 4 or 5 pm Sun. Aug. 22 (at noon the Directors and Regional Directors will go into a meeting and we need a member volunteer for that time).

Set up only entails placing a table cloth on the table and hanging the banner. To work the show, new raffle tickets and the FRANCHI gun should be there.

I will deliver all the items needed and the gun to the set up person.......it is important that the Fri. person be able to deliver the gun to the Sat. people. Sometimes they go back the next morning with the gun, sometimes the Sat. person picks the gun up at 8 or so pm Fri nite.....repeat for Sunday. BE SURE WHEN YOU TAKE THE GUN INTO THE STORE YOU STOP AT THE SERVICE COUNTER AND GET THE GUN MARKED WITH THE "DAY TAPE" SO YOU CAN GET IT OUT!!!!!

THANKS FOR ALL THE VOLUNTEERS EXPECTED...REPLY BELOW

Alain will be out of town until late Fri. and is probably not able to help until the next day....so we need some one to step up.

Hi Newton:

I can be there for the setup on Friday AM. I would have to leave though by 5PM. Is that ok?

That would be ok as there are probably others who would be able to come in after work at 5 pm. Most important thing about being there to set up in the early afternoon is to be sure we get a good spot and claim it. BPS will put the little cards on the tables for each exhibitor.....but sometimes they get moved around!!!!!

We may have a problem getting you the gun, we can mail the banner and table cloth.........I have two sons living in ORL now and maybe I can leave the gun with them one day in the next week and they can bring it down. One of them may be off on Fri and would do the set up....but he will not know until the week of the show.

Not too important anyway.....most important is to claim the booth. Thanks for you help......keep and eye on the coming replies for further assistance. Newton

No special skills needed.....just talk duck hunting and sell folks on joining UW-F and buying some raffle tickets. Usually several members in the booth, especially during Sat. and Sun.

Newton,

I'm going to be taking a vacation day on that Friday (the 20th) ... so, I'll have the entire weekend off. :D

I can help ... starting Friday evening, & all day Sat. & Sunday.

On another note ... does anyone know when BPS is having the "midnight madness" sale? They usually have some very good specials!

I can help on Sunday mid-day.

Kevin - if I remember correctly, the midnight madness sale is on Thursday before the show kicks off.

Thanks to all.....if everyone does as they say above we should be ok.......others are welcome to post when they could help.....it's fun and definitely "the more the merrier". The only possible little "hitch" is someone must take the gun out in the evening and be sure it gets back the next morning....either they bring it back or give it to someone who is coming in......would be nice if someone would be sure to be there Fri. nite who intends to come back Sat. morning....and someone would be there Sat. nite who will be back Sunday morning.

Does anyone above meet those parameters?

Thanks, Newton

Newton, I can probably take care of one of those days ... maybe both. I'll have to wait and see. :)

Hey Newton, I could probably meet Capt. George around Yee Haw junction to take the gun up on Friday. I plan on being at the shop around beer thirty (4:30) Friday to help with anything left over to set up. I have never been to the Orlando BPS A map or directions from the fl. turnpike along with a list of motels where everyone will be staying would help. See Ya the 20th.. cgc

Thanks Jack......I have transported the gun, camoflage table cloth, t shirts to sell, literature, new member forms etc. to my sons' house in Orlando. I will have the raffle tickets there before Monday. All will be there and ready to go to BPS Friday afternoon. Corey does not know yet what his schedule will be on Friday as he starts a new position this Monday at the hotel. If he can he will bring it all down to BPS around 1 pm on Friday and meet you at the booth. We should know the time situation by Tuesday morning.

If, by chance, he has to work the day shift, we will have to come up with a new plan. Let's wait till Monday nite to move further. Newton

Jack and Newton,

What to do w/ the print the Jack gave to UW.

It is a DU print w/ history.

It should be put w/ some other items for raffle, doorprize, etc. or something.

Let me know.

My event for today (Sunday) was cancelled due to the storm. To be sure some raffle tickets are available on Fri. I will be mailing a small envelop of them to you tomorrow. Newton

My son jokenly says this when I catch him at something. I did not find this post on manning the booth until today. I did not look on the public forum. "Assumed" it would be on the directors page.

There is a loose "schedule" of people here and as Newton stated, "if all show up, we'll be fine".

I appreciate all the work that Newton and Dave do. They shouldn't have to work that hard.
