Both the Everglades and the new Sawgrass Chapters of Delta Waterfowl have been very busy with Wood Duck nesting box projects. With the help of the Florida Sportsmen Conservation Assoc.(FSCA), we will place 25 boxes in the Hungry Land WMA. The project will be the morning of Saturday July 17th. FSCA has done us a huge favor by constructing these boxes, now let us show our appreciation by having a huge turnout to put them out. Call Dennis White for more details (561)310-4175

Dennis, I wish I could!! It is a very worthwhile project...After all, who doesn't like wood ducks! Unfortunately, I am on duty the 17th... and can't spare what little vacation time I have left since I have had to burn it while taking the wife to chemo and radiation treatments. Please keep me in mind if you have something in the future and i will try to make arrangements to be there.

We had a ball. There were over 30 people at the gate of MARIANA and JOHNNY JONES/ HUNGRYLAND all ready willing and able to install wood duck box's. The FWC was very impreesed with the turn out as well as how professional we all were. FSCA supplied us with 4 buggies and many volunteers. The project was a great success and the FWC is looking forward to working with DELTA and FSCA in the future. I will be in Okeechobee on Aug 7th in a meeting to discuss wood duck box's to be installed on the Kissimmee river here real soon. I am looking for SPONSORS to donate funds for the NEW pole system that we used as I feel it will be a great innovative way to install and maintain the box's. Chow for now as I am needing a nap as today I was with FSCA doing a MALALUCA erradication on the same property.
Delata was represented by Dennis and Jennifer White, Dana Brunstrom, Jack and Ron Griffin and son's. FSCA deserves a big THANK YOU for all their help and involvment. I am their waterfowl chairman and serve on their board of director's as well:cool:
