Sfwmd Initial Recreation Advisory Committee Meeting July 12

The SFWMD first ever RAC meeting will be at 4 pm on July 12 at the SFWMD offices on Gun Club Rd. The location is just west of Congress Ave. and just south of the WPB airport. THIS IS A "TURN OUT MEETING"! We want to get the STA's on the agenda. There remains much resistance within the SFWMD staff to any hunting on the STAs. We will probably gain on an incremental basis with the help of friends and allies. A strong and polite show of support will be helpful. The meeting will run 3 to 4 hours, perhaps we can gather for refreshments afterwards????Newton

Newton, any updates to this meeting. Do you know the time table for our Sta issues...

I should be there, I may be working up in WPB on that day, so if you all have a time line, it may help...I'm set to leave for an Orlando business trip on the following morning, so I wont be able to join in on the refreshments..

I know it may be a little to early for this info, but just thought I'd ask...

4:00 to 7:00 is the scheduled time. There is no farther breakdown of the agenda at this time. There is alot to cover. The air boaters, bird watchers, horse back riders and bass fisherman all get to address their issues as well, I would expect the STA's to be a HOT subject. We need to remember time is short. I'm fairly certain we will not get all we want right off the bat. This will be like any other project involving the government. One slow step at a time:rolleyes:
