Is not a done deal. I had the impression that this project was a done deal but apparently not.

Its been postponed for spring vote. Newton please put this on the calendar and keep us up to date on this issue.

We need to spread the word on this. As the dollars are drying up, you can imagine that the fat cats down town will sooner give this up than the F-350s they use to give out parking citations.

I spoke to the Commissioners as did several FWC and other supporters...one from the NRA local group....all to no avail.

The tax problems in Tallahassee make for a convient excuse to kick the ball further down the field...it has been about 20 years promised....

The Palm Beach County Commission has only one or two who understand the sporting use of firearms....most are urban and the only thing they know is gang banging.....Makes the project difficult under the best of circumstances, with the current battle over money between the state and the counties we can expect little progress until the funding questions are settled.

Even though this is a shared public/private expense (the private sector has commited to raising 50% of the total $10 million needed) The Commission would not spend $500,000 of already promised Park money to began the premitting and engineering....that was WRONG!

We will need to FILL THE COMISSION CHAMBERS in May when this comes up again.
