June Issue FLORIDA SPORTSMAN mentions UW-F, DELTA, and SAFER

There are two pertinent articles in the June issue of FLORIDA SPORTSMAN. Under "Conservation Front" on page 94 our partner in saving access to the glades via the L67 canal, SAFER, is noted as actively working to save the number 1 bass fishery in Florida. On page 96 the recent change in bias at the SFWMD toward recreational use of the properties is reviewed with special mention of duck hunting on STA 5 and the efforts UW-F and DELTA have made on behalf of hunting. I saw Newton Cooks' name mentioned in that issue. I'll be moving down June 29 and I'll be joining UWF in the fight to keep access to public lands and gain more.
