I feel like I won the lottery!! I got drawn for opening day (10/7) and (11/25)/. There are still permits left when I checked yesterday. Who else is hunting?

I have permits for me and the three sons for the first two Sunday hunts....they did not go real fast as the field has not been as good the last two years....but you never know from year to year out there.

Had a real good hunt there on the first day of phase 2 last year. Talked to the biologist and the millet is coming in good this year. I usually try to set up on the back field. Look for the yellow lab with no tail. I am going to try some decoys this year, I broke down and bought a spinning-wing dove. Now if I can just get drawn for Merrit hunt I will be happy!

I am glad you got the dates you wanted. Last year things did not pick up till second phase, and by then If I have the time I prefer the marsh.
