Stainless is the only way to go. I've got a stainless on a 15hp 83' envinrude and have beet it up bad at times. Still looks [[retty good. You' will like one. Keep you aluminum as a spare with mounting harware in your boat.

Definately go with the stainless.
Shallower the pitch the better hole shot, steeper the pitch better top end.
Example
13 pitch break neck out the hole- not so fast WOT
17 pitch not so quick out the hole - screams at WOT
Best to have a tach on your engine, if possible check several different pitches find the one that gives you the best all around performance without over revving the engine. In most cases this is not an option unfortunately.
On the Yamaha Prop, you'll find the diameter and pitch stamped in one of two places, on the outside of the hub body in between the blades, or remove the prop and look on the inside on the hub collar
Im guessing off the top of my you should have a 10-1/4" Diameter x 16p on that motor.
BTW small foot merc props will fit Yamaha and vice versa ( up to 60 hp)

Looks like this one will work ... http://www.ptprop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=114_194_212&products_id=1420
10.25" diameter - 15 pitch, satin stainless ... less than $300. :)
Unless ... you need the "2-pin" Merc style prop ... http://www.ptprop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=114_115_116&products_id=689
Specs are the same ... just a different hub. ;)
