Lake Okeechobee Sfwmd Management Workshop

The opening meeting for the long term management plan for Lake O will be Moday April 26 at 10 am at the SFWMD offices on Gun Club road. This is the series of meetings that will set the guidelines for the water level. The current plan has been a disaster for the lake and the St. Lucie River and Indian River. Duck hunting has been adversely effected by the too high water levels. UW-F will be there.

This is a subject very dear to my heart. The quality of the water in the St. Lucie estuary is... well... slimmy!

I hope I can stay in the "can't we just all get along" frame of mind;)
