just wondering if anybody else had misfires on Kents last year. Between my father and myself, we had 5 or six out of the beginning of a case. scared the **** out of me. One of them exploded in my receiver and sent powder all over my face and in my eyes. Took my gun apart each time to make sure the wad went through. I liked the prices and everybody else seemed to like them, but don't think i'll be buying them in the future. I've still got some boxes that I'm afraid to shoot.

What type of gun? I wonder if your firing pin may have a issue. My brother in law has a Franchi that does this alot if it is not cleaned every week or so. I can take the same shell put it in my Browning and it works everytime. I use nothing but Kent shells and have never had a issue.

I shoot a Rem 870 SuperMag, and pops shoots an 11-87.
I like shooting the Nitro shells, but that gets pricey. And there will never be another Remington Sportsman going through my gun again.

I've shot many cases of Kents through several guns without any malfunction.

BackCast let me be the first to inquire about how you are doing. I hope that all is well after that terrible episode with those disastrous Kent Shells. If you would be so kind as to name your price for the disposal of those shells, I will see to it that they are handled accordingly! :blob7:

What did you pay and what do you want for them? How many cases do you have left?

i tried kents 2 years ago and every 3 or 4 shots would jam in my gun
gave away 4 boxes and they were used without a problem

I have used Kents for a couple of years and for the price they seem to be the ticket. Of course anything outside 35 yards and bigger than a teal you are only slapping those birds.

No problems here. Speed kills.

I have had them misfire if they get wet. Other than that no problem. Now I have had plenty, plenty of damp kents work fine.

I disagree. The #3's in a 2.75 load will kill big birds farther than I can. I've shot the same load now for about 5 years and no problems. Keep your powder dry.

Faststeel "grave yard dead" 50 yards, 2 3/4" 2s or 3" 4s on any duck that flies in Fla.

I shoot 3 inch #4s. Maybe you are just a better shot than I am. :wav:

Don't get me wrong I pass alot of long shots most everybody else would take and usually I can keep everything under 20 but if I want to make a long shot I can.
