Delta Town Hall Meetings coming to Florida
I just got off the phone with Mike Nevins from the home office of Delta Waterfowl. He is scheduled to come to South Florida on March 29th through the 31st to meet with Florida's duck hunters. He is going to be hosting two Delta Waterfowl Town Hall Meetings to discuss all waterfowl issues with us.

We are going to hold one meeting in South Florida and another one up near the Space Coast. We will also be having meetings to help set up a Space Coast Chapter. Anybody that can help Aaron and Jason in that area will be greatly appreciated. We also need reccomendations for meeting places in both areas. Best if meet inside and we need to be able to run a power point presentation. I will post up official dates, times and places as we get all of this planned out.
For more info on these Town Hall Meetings that are taking place all over the country, go to http://www.deltawaterfowl.org .

"Where were the ducks?” is one of the questions Delta Waterfowl’s staff will attempt to answer when it hosts a series of town hall meetings with duck hunters across the South.
“The purpose of these get-togethers is to visit with duck hunters, and to unveil Delta’s vision for the future of waterfowl management,” says Delta President Rob Olson. “We know duck hunters have a lot of questions, and we think it’s time they receive some answers.

“Delta believes there are some serious problems on the Prairie breeding grounds, and we are proposing some dramatic changes for the future. We’ll talk about what’s happening and what’s not happening on the breeding grounds, and how that affects hunters in the South.

All duck hunters are invited to attend. There will be no charge for admission.

Delta Waterfowl is pleased to have Mossy Oak as a supporter for these Town Hall meetings. Attendees will have the opportunity to win a Mossy Oak hunting package at all future Town Hall meetings.

I have also spoken with Newton about these Town Hall Meetings and Delta would like UW to be involved. During the town hall meeting we want to discuss the importance of grass roots efforts and the importance of working together on issues.

The town hall meeting hosted by the Everglades chapter will be held at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame on March 31 from 7pm to 9pm

I spoke to the director of marketing and explained Delta's mission and how our organization complements the IGFA and vice-versa. They are granting us a considerable discount - so large that we can afford to have it there. However, we do need some underwriting assistance. If you know of someone who might be interested in donating please have them contact Jeff Allen or myself (954-829-3285). If you join or renew your membership with the IGFA remember to mention that you are also a Delta Waterfowl supporter and appreciate their hospitality.

The IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame is located at I-95 and Griffin Road (just south of Fort Lauderdal) and is adjacent to Bass Pro Shops. If you need further directions please PM or e-mail me.

We are still getting the details worked out for the Central Florida meeting.

I will arrange to attend the treasure coast meeting as soon as they have place/time/ venue straightened out...I hope that it will not conflict with the D/U event in S.brevard.
