Delta Town Hall Meetings coming to Florida
I just got off the phone with Mike Nevins from the home office of Delta Waterfowl. He is scheduled to come to South Florida on March 29th through the 31st to meet with Florida's duck hunters. He is going to be hosting two Delta Waterfowl Town Hall Meetings to discuss all waterfowl issues with us.
We are going to hold one meeting in South Florida and another one up near the Space Coast. We will also be having meetings to help set up a Space Coast Chapter. Anybody that can help Aaron and Jason in that area will be greatly appreciated. We also need reccomendations for meeting places in both areas. Best if meet inside and we need to be able to run a power point presentation. I will post up official dates, times and places as we get all of this planned out.
For more info on these Town Hall Meetings that are taking place all over the country, go to http://www.deltawaterfowl.org .
"Where were the ducks?” is one of the questions Delta Waterfowl’s staff will attempt to answer when it hosts a series of town hall meetings with duck hunters across the South.
“The purpose of these get-togethers is to visit with duck hunters, and to unveil Delta’s vision for the future of waterfowl management,” says Delta President Rob Olson. “We know duck hunters have a lot of questions, and we think it’s time they receive some answers.
“Delta believes there are some serious problems on the Prairie breeding grounds, and we are proposing some dramatic changes for the future. We’ll talk about what’s happening and what’s not happening on the breeding grounds, and how that affects hunters in the South.
All duck hunters are invited to attend. There will be no charge for admission.
Delta Waterfowl is pleased to have Mossy Oak as a supporter for these Town Hall meetings. Attendees will have the opportunity to win a Mossy Oak hunting package at all future Town Hall meetings.
