A group of five of us hit the marsh today and ran the proposed mudfest poker run route. Those who had concerns about the Glades not being muddy enough need not worry. We had plenty of mud, plenty of sawgrass islands, and plenty of ways to abuse our mud rigs. One trail had mud that looked like dry land, but was a soupy mess once we ran through it. We got stuck a couple of times, but we were able to get going at all of the checkpoints. We are all really interested to see how the jacked up outboards division fares! Some minor changes have been made to checkpoint locations and route legs. Pics below, update route to come. We will provide 30 copies of the route and waypoints on waterproof paper before heading out on the poker run.

PS. Juan, we ran the tourist airboat trail after you left and it is very clear, borderline outboard friendly. Result: we will only be running the canal at the 1/2 mile final stretch from NSR Trail to Holiday Trail. The rest of the route is buried in the marsh!

 These were the two clean guys in our boat. I jumped in the canal to rinse off!
