I worked at on of our stations on Merritt Island yesterday. In some of the ponds and rivers I saw a pair of pins - drake and hen; about 50 teal in 3 groups; and a group of around 12 bills, including some very nice, full plumage drakes.
What do say we extend the season until March??? ;) :D

Last night sitting around camp which backs up to about a 50 acre cypress/grass pond. The moon was very bright and the woodies were whining until I finally hit the sack at 2:30 AM. Then the gobblers let loose at sunup. That had to be the most active woodies I've ever heard at night. No pun intended.

I've been fishing stickmarsh the last few weeks and there is a large group of Ringers on the south end of farm 13.....probably 500 + birds....every time a bass boat runs by they get up...mill around and sit back down in the same area.
