If anyone is available ... I'm going to be at Lake Jessup tomorrow (late moring - mid day) running some mud! :D If you're available ... come have some fun! I'm planning on being at the ramp (Lk. Jessup outlet @ hwy. 46) about 11 am.
I know it's kinda late notice ... but, I just got the kitchen pass. ;)

Well ... I went out today to play in the mud! The water level is perfect for mud motors ... lots of exposed mudflats! Most of it was soupy mud ... like this.

Lots of mudflat areas with only an inch of water or so ... perfect for doing a "180* powerslide"!! :D

Part II ...
It took about 20 minutes to get the boat turned around 180* and headed back out. Inches at a time ...

Yeah ... the mud was just a little too thick to run. ;) I learned a lesson ... don't drive the boat where the mud is starting to crack open or has weeds growing on it. ;)
This one is probably my favorite picture of the day. :D

I had an absolute BLAST!!! :D I think I ended up with as much mud on me as I had in the boat! I ruined a white T shirt. :D :blob10: :toothy12: :laughing6

Man the COE really knows how to take care of our waterways! Wonder how many of our lakes should have their names changed to lake sludge?

The RPMs are set right at 4250 - out of the water. Right where they should be for a "stock" motor. ;)
Who says that we can't have a Mudfest up here? Right now, the conditions are just about perfect. We just need to pick a date ... that doesn't conflict with anything ... anything "major" anyways. ;) Just a "fun run". :D We just need to get someone with an airboat that is willing to play "tow truck" ... 'cause rigs are gonna get stuck, that's part of the fun. ;)

I'm actually glad to see it drying out. It will give the muck a chance to consolidate/oxidize and settle.
Right now the conditions are just about perfect for planting rice or jap millet. ;) Drive across the mud flats in an airboat, while throwing seed into the prop. Does a real good job of broadcasting the seed. ;)
