Well, not really....but STA 5 has never seen such a day. The SFWMD film crew was a lot of fun, (I appreciate the patience while we blocked the roads from time to time), and the two attractive ladies doing the filming and interviews were enthralled by Vittorio's family from Italy. They were amazed at how happy and positive the entire crowd was.
Hunters made a very positive impact on two ladies who had these questions when they arrived and saw the "riot" of trucks and camoed people coming and going:
Did anyone catch anything we can film?
Do you get to keep them?
Do you eat them?
Now you know why I try to get a hold on any PR work from the WMDs or FWC!
UW-F was there enmass, I counted at least 10 members at the check station at one time....
Thanks to Joe Lillia for helping and his great interview remarks for DU and the relationship with UW-F here in Florida.
Not a lot of this will make the final cuts in this project, but the PR firm these folks run will probably propose a full fledged program on recreation on District lands, including hunting as a result of the positive experience.
