i believe this should be posted on the public side because we all find these actions deplorable. 5 men cited for over the limit at the stas this weekend willfully and wanton waste of game that the rest of us spend so much energy to hunt lawfully.thanks to the fwc and all who gave information that led to the citations and hopefully a severe fine and loss of hunting priveleges for quite along time to show that we will not tolerate these actions in the ranks of our hunters and friends. we need court email addresses so we can flood the place with emails showing that this is not the actions of hunters but the actions of poachers and not to be cofused with the rest of us. i for one do not want anyone thinking that we are associated with these men or that they should be called hunters . hopefully sports writers affilated with us can help us with this.

For non-members who could not follow this story on the Members Only Forum:
We had a report from hunters leaving STA 5 Sunday before last of finding 28 dead ducks left in an area, a lot of Kent hulls, and they had thought there was an unusual amount of shooting from the area. They reported the incident to Billy. Also, a report was put up on the UW-F Members Only Forum with a lot of very angry and upset people Replying asking for action and offering to take the officers out with them under cover or to help in any way.
I spoke with both the FWC and Federal officers and gave them the details. Since there is a list of hunters on the marsh each hunt, I am sure they were able to narrow their suspicions. On Sunday the FWC officers were in the marsh and observed a group of violaters kill dozens of ducks over the limit....and made the arrests.
Thanks to all who assisted with this arrest and the officers who got these criminals out of the marshes. UW-F has worked too hard over several years to open the STAs and their incredible hunting experience to the public and we will gleefully report violators that jeopardize the priviledge.
