One mottled and 5 teal?

I sure know what I want for supper tonight. With this crummy season, I have to carefully ration out my few fillets.

Gotta admit I was pretty close. You oughta at least award me the shoveller.

How does Fulvous taste? I have BBWD in freezer and hear they are good.

The FWD was a little more "gamey" than the puddle ducks. I liked it but the wife kinda turned up her nose at it. My wife's nephew was visiting and thought the teal was the best meat he had ever eatin.

I was going to guess a mottled, 4 teal and a ringer. I was close!! :D
I'll be trying my first BBWD soon, I've got about 40 or 50 of them in the freezer. ;) :p :D

Gee Rut, between Chet strip hunting the bluebills and you single handedly wiping out the BBWD population, whats the rest of us supposed to hunt?:D

Way to go Hit n Miss -- shoot em where you find em. I live on a suburban pond inside city limits and when I get back from hunting (this year, usually skunked) I see woodies on the pond outside my back door. Also Canadas in easy shooting range most evenings right over the house.

Think my neighbors (and the cops) would object though if I cut loose on em.

This last sat of season here three of us limited out on woodies again in the back yard. However my backyard is a 7 acre field surrounded by woods that just happens to be in a daily flight path.:D :D :D Blind hog did you get to bag any ducks over the G&H's ?

Yes, thanks to PCS WMA we got to deke a few in w/em. We had 3 good hunts out of 4 trips there. Son and I bagged total of 23 ducks for the season - exactly zero in Leon/Gadsden counties.

Nothing ever showed up at Iamonia. I assume Miccosukee was about same. Jackson had some ducks early, they left. Probably only solution may have been the coast, but dont really know how. Was at St Marks lighthouse in early Jan and there were few teal but lot of redhead and wigeon there. No bluebills or ringbills.

I have read on internet and seen on TV shows that mild winter up north is to blame for millions of ducks not needing to come south. Apparently this was the case in 8 ort 9 states in mid-Atlantic, upper South. Will have to "wait till next yr" I guess.

According to the guy you got the blind from he said they did real good on miccosuki, however it's rumored that he has the best location on the lake. :D :D All ringers though.
