We've been informed by SFWMD that there may be hunters introducing rice at STA 3/4 and/or 5. I'm not sure why because of all the duck candy there that SFWMD plants but I suppose it is possible that some want that little extra advantage.
The Water Managers take this very seriously. It may look like a bunch of weeds to some but they treat these STA's as laboratories and keep careful watch over what is growing.
These are specifically the types of things that can shed a negative light public access.
Please help spread the word that no plants are to be introduced to the STA's.
