new duck blind idea.....

As I was taking my morning stroll around the treatment plant site.... I just happened to look into one of the stormwater ponds that we are using as a settling basin for our groundwater dewatering activities.... in it were six FL mottleds... As my ***'t supe was teasing me, we walked upto within six feet of the duck before they moved to the other side of the pond....

so...

next time I go out, I will dress in my hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, and carry a couple of pieces of pipe and some concrete and fool the ducks on Crooked Lake into thinking I am a construction worker and maybe then I can get a duck or two LOL


worse part was my ***'t supe telling me how easy it was to walk up on these ducks and how come I can't get any when I go out:angry4: I think maybe he needs to work the week of Christmas now...

Yea, I also noticed that everytime we quite hunting and pick up the fishing rods the ducks fly right over us:Confused1

I think the next trip we're just gonna throw out the dekes, keep the blind folded down, stand up in the boat and then shoot the ducks that always seem to drop in rediculously close during pick up time.:tongue11:

Another idea is to pose as a "bird lover". I've noticed ducks fly right over them so they can get those great pictures. Tri-pod and camera with a long lens (shot gun) should do the trick...............:color:
