I got one, Camo. Never been shot. I won a pump at the DU banquet and traded up to the auto but never loaded a shell in it. 4 Chokes. I use my Browning Gold all the time.

Auto uses the inertia system same as my Benelli. First guess is its probably a good gun. Price is not too bad either!

Marsh Rat -
I borrowed one the other day for a few shots. Had a problem, and wondered if you have experienced this:
after putting shell in chamber, and putting one into the mag, it would click as if I had pushed the little side button/lever (not the one that closes the bolt) and therefore lock out the 3rd round. The owner said I must have pushed that button, and then I showed him it was doing it by itself.

I recently purchased a Stoeger Model 2000 and I took it hunting with me for the first time today and loved it. The only issue was adjusting to now having a semi-auto vs using a pump all my life. Last week I shot clays with it and probably shot a hundred shells and hunting today I shot about a box and a half of shells with no issues. Got our limit of ducks too! I am very satisfied with the purchase. It comes with 5 chokes too.

Im going to buy one here shortly. I've looked into them and haven't found one bad thing about them. The guys at Patriot Arms were pushing them pretty hard. From my experiances with those guys they won't stear you wrong. From what I found out. Binelli had a law suit out against Stoeger for usind the Inertia Driven System since Binelli had a patent on it. When Binelli reps went to the Stoeger plant, they were so impressed with the operation and quality of product that they dropped the law suit and instead bought Stoeger out. Basically, from what I was told by a seasoned gun guru, the Stoeger is a Binelli without some of the whistles and bells ie.. cryogenic barrel, molly bolt and confort stock. Otherwise they are the same gun for half the price.

I shoot a SBE, my father has a Stoeger 2000. I can say that the gun is nice in fit and finish...the only draw backs are the weight and the durability of the camo finish. Whatever kind of adhesive or screen printing they use to for the camo---Pits! All dimpled up after only 2 seasons, it shows serious signs of wear. Comparing the weight of the SBE to the Stoeger is Night and Day. The Stoeger is a great gun for the money, which is a steal!----but the gun is heavy. I've never seen the gun jam, even after running a ton of 2 3/4" shells thru it. Overall, durable and a great value.
